One of my favorite hobbies is birdwatching. I often see Mallard ducks in the lakes and canals near my house in Las Colinas, and I have always loved their rich jewel-toned colors. I also tried out a new watercolor palette for this painting (Derwent Inktense – thanks Mom and Dad!) and the colors were amazing.
