I made this egg on Easter Day 2021 shortly after returning from my grandparents’ house. My grandma gave me a few books of pysanka designs and I was inspired by the deeper meanings of each symbol. The bird represents new life and fertility, while crosses are representative of the Christian faith. Together with the royal colors of gold and crimson, I think the symbols in this egg are nice tribute to the Easter holiday!
